DreamTeam’s entries into the fall league were greeted with absolutely perfect weather conditions and finished the day with a perfect 3 wins, gaining all 9 points in the process.
The 10s and 12s kicked off their matches at the start of the day; the youngsters at Sherborn and our “veterans” at Marlboro ForeKicks. It was not long before both were racking up goals.
Bryann “Neymar” Almeida opened the scoring for the 10s with an individual bit of brilliance, taking on several of the America SC defenders, before finishing his goal with a blast into the opponent’s goal. He continued to terrify the opposition and after making several cuts across the box finished neatly into the corner to put DT up 2-0. A perfect centering pass from the right channel found Anthony Frois in front of goal and his second effort put the team up by 3. Anthony again hit for his second goal scoring at the end of a strong passing sequence. The visitors got one back after finding some space along the 18 yard box. But it was a different Bryan who put the final stamp on the match. After winning balls in the midfield area, central defender Bryan Bueno twice dribbled down the right channel and was rewarded with 2 goals, beating a stunned America SC keeper by blasting his first one into the top of the net and then finishing his second goal by driving the ball into the lower right corner of the goal.
The DT 12s continued to improve as a group, executing much of the training methodology they work on each week. The temperature rose quickly as the ball bounced off a Dorchester player and Max Stakun-Pickering drove it into the bottom, left corner for the first goal of the match.
Richard Nunes struck early for his first goal of what would become a four-goal performance. Lucas Da Silva and Oliver Sharpe kept the Dorchester team off balance, moving the ball deftly through the midfield and into the attack. Lucas netted the 4th goal of the match finishing off some great combinations. After Richard hit for his 4th goal, Max Stakun-Pickering blasted an awarded penalty kick to end the match at 7-0. The defensive work of Max, Rafaele Bauer and Itallo Campos along with GK Vitor Barros maintained complete control of the defensive third earning the shutout for the squad.
The 11s faced a very tough Lexington Premier Development Academy squad, who were sitting in first place after week 3 of the championship. Both teams showed why they stood 1and 2 in the league, exhibiting composure on the ball and strong defending. It appeared as though quality-scoring chances would be rare, but the DreamTeam finally broke through late in the first half. Getting the ball into the final third, Michael Alpers kept the ball alive and poked it to Junior Balla who feathered a pass out front to Brandonn Bueno. Brandonn took a single touch and placed the ball smartly around the keeper. The match became a test of will with both defenses coming up big. Igor Da Silva, Luan Da Silva, Kevin Nunes and Jaime Garcia continually stood their ground against all LPDA attacks. Bruno Kajiwara kept LPDA scoreless with impressive saves; coming off his line to control the DreamTeam’s 18- yard box. The hardworking midfield led by Brandonn and Felipe De Andrade worked both sides of the ball throughout the 60 minutes of play. With time running down, Felipe was finally rewarded for all of his hard work with a perfect finish into the LPDA goal securing all 3 points for DreamTeam’s 11s.
